We explored some lakes on base. We saw salmon spawning, which meant 1,000's of salmon are swimming upstream each day. It was crazy to look into the water and see 20+ fish at once. Lucy spotted them too. Many of them were brightly colored red. We also got to see some float planes up close. Lucy asked a million questions about them, all of which 2 I could answer. My airplane knowledge is lacking. Finn loved the planes and said "hi" to them all. </div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Mg23snmfmCU/V8Ev2ejAJAI/AAAAAAAAFSs/7dkIrVg97AE/I/photo_345526.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-B9nej4Mb_BY/V8Ev2-LNL6I/AAAAAAAAFSw/uYTJuGX5u-Y/I/photo_280103.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <div><br></div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ax1vMG0iUBg/V8Ev3LYJUsI/AAAAAAAAFS0/-v6Ol7Kl6vk/I/photo_102104.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-l-RTkNbvtu0/V8Ev3nc-L4I/AAAAAAAAFS4/yOFpVlJ30TY/I/photo_315956.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br><br> <div><br></div><br><br> <br><br> Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-78725034864174881792015-11-10T14:17:00.000-07:002015-11-13T19:51:47.816-07:00Lucy is Two!<div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dNdoEmGDQmU/VkahuBECEDI/AAAAAAAAFRM/n5FokgNqWOw/I/photo_792949.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br></div><div>Happy Birthday Miss Lucy Orabelle! She prays for Jesus, the baby growing Auntie Carrie's belly and ice cream. Lucy loves reading her Bible at night and praying for Jesus is so sweet. She talks about him and often goes in her room on her own to read the Bible (or look at the pictures). She is very aware of babies, usually we pray for all of the babies in the world...now just the baby in Aunties tummy. We also pray for ice cream. I tell God I'm thankful for ice cream because it has been our reward for pooping on the potty. And Lucy LOVES ice cream. It is her go to anytime you ask her what she wants to eat. And sometimes when she eats her toes, she claims the taste like ice cream. Yum!<div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lg_FtRoWN88/VZxH1mNNFrI/AAAAAAAAFO8/7J6sJSkQVUE/I/photo_696451.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-90129193422985694272015-03-21T13:01:00.000-06:002015-03-21T13:02:55.396-06:00We're on a BOAT!We are going cruising! <div><div><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-pLcoPdSK7Mk/VQ3AXBjXlXI/AAAAAAAAFOU/rkXSulH8u2U/I/photo_989647.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br></div>Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-46995133461894349932015-03-17T12:42:00.000-06:002015-03-17T12:42:42.261-06:00From Africa for a visit!Grandpa and Grandma Otten were here for a short visit this past month. Lucy was delighted having these two around and giving her all the attention she needed. She loved dancing for them, loving on them and showing them how big she is getting. It was a busy time for Dave but we managed a few family dinners and Lucy had quite a few bedtimes with grandpa and grandma. <div><br></div><div>Airport greeting</div><div><br></div><div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zxTI5gIaAzU/VQh1ncT1jxI/AAAAAAAAFNs/OAE81PcYtJ4/I/photo_595097.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br></div><div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-m6VVv9Mlwd4/VQh1n6CEHgI/AAAAAAAAFN0/Y-0h6IlykOk/I/photo_885372.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-e5cEJsrOLG8/VQh1oV2tbsI/AAAAAAAAFN4/xH0uchdagj8/I/photo_316111.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br><br> Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-2122700509411935092015-03-17T12:29:00.000-06:002015-03-17T12:38:54.463-06:00Lucy Lucy Lucy<div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-OrSI85h2b-Y/VQh0q7BoTbI/AAAAAAAAFME/kGXJbkvE5rU/I/photo_618267.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div>Here is a camera/phone dump of Lucy pictures. She is getting better at trying new food but usually pretends to try it and says mmmmm then say no thanks. She eats her staples...cheese, tortillas, yogurt, bread, berries, bananas, actually any fruit, raisins, nutrigrain bars...probably her weakest attribute is her finicky eating habits. I'm hoping it is a phase. We keep offering things and giving her a chance. Frustrating but I can't change anything. </div><div><div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Zh6NmB58zYI/VKOAg8F9RzI/AAAAAAAAFHQ/BRCxXZ1eLYU/I/photo_475002.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br></div><div>-I love this little girl so much. I had no idea how much motherhood would change me. I have more respect for my mother and all mothers. Being a momma to this beautiful little lady is such a blessing. It is wonderful to watch her grow and discover the world on her own. I can't believe the way she can tug at my heart and melt me. I hope to help give Lucy direction, discipline and live a life worth modeling. I hope she always knows that I love her and will love her unconditionally. </div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vgg5GzXWLdo/VKOAhezOXuI/AAAAAAAAFHc/uPkK3T7dHkY/I/photo_755773.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-74019476197547737662014-12-30T15:41:00.000-07:002014-12-30T15:42:26.116-07:00sledding!Dave and I took Lucy to the park and went sledding. Lately, we have been asking her to help put things away and it is crazy when you can tell her something and she comprehends it, the completes the action. </div><div><div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-S4-xY0rBHdo/VHxxtx4IxAI/AAAAAAAAFDI/APm4Vn24yfo/I/photo_211323.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tXU-XIFbcng/VHxxufG9vhI/AAAAAAAAFDM/dpawR7ltgfs/I/photo_584600.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br> <br></div><div>I've been slacking on posting so here are some random pictures. </div><div><div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-N4oEHlGMr_g/VHxxvMM3OKI/AAAAAAAAFDU/WgxnIUnoG_c/I/photo_108681.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-fUY3JZsgjFw/VHxxvn32p8I/AAAAAAAAFDg/VKO8FVaxblg/I/photo_539490.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><div><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6mCuk5fT3Z8/VHxxwPKh85I/AAAAAAAAFDk/OQ5trxtTJBA/I/photo_750939.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br> <div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jgarGBSVGwo/VHxxwktgg2I/AAAAAAAAFDw/4yKzfJCC0WE/I/photo_597316.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><div><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-mxtqFEdeziQ/VHxxxMoYQSI/AAAAAAAAFD0/o50Xa0E1qPw/I/photo_882393.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br> <br><br> <br></div>Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-70907567661900551742014-11-11T14:45:00.000-07:002014-11-11T14:48:23.930-07:0014 degrees outside...And we go to the PARK! Lucy insisted on going to the park today. So we quickly went to swing and enjoy the snow falling but it was cold! Lucy didn't even seem to notice the cold. <div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-grtwDHuX7k0/VGKEIKzR_RI/AAAAAAAAFCQ/n4wZtODhZwY/I/photo_264550.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-f4Lmbuu-CVQ/VGKEI9qaacI/AAAAAAAAFCU/TQqvdDJp_8U/I/photo_626480.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-obWh1kDtw3U/VGKEJX3ml5I/AAAAAAAAFCc/81cW0Jo30wo/I/photo_200344.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><br><br> <br><br> <br><br> Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-7361937864959409862014-11-05T10:32:00.000-07:002014-11-05T12:09:45.291-07:00Big girls ask......to go SWING!<div><br></div><div>Lucy was playing in the bathroom this morning as I brushed my teeth and got ready. She was naked, enjoying playing with q-tips, tampons, hair ties and her socks. Yes, I said tampons... Lucy has a million toys but loves to find goodies in the bathroom to play with, throw in the bathtub, pull apart, and put in bags. She also likes to drag her socks around. Anyway, I asked Lucy what she wanted to do this morning and she immediately stopped what she was doing, signed swing, and said "up". Meaning she wanted to go to the park and mom please get me dressed. She put on her clothes, shoes, coat and hat with such excitement. She even sat on the bottom stair as I got my coat and shoes on. Here is a glimpse into her cuteness waiting to go to the park and SWING! And she also loves the big slide... Face first. This girl rocks!</div><div><br></div><div><div><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Ahwv4qhmiMo/VFphMrwaZPI/AAAAAAAAFB0/k7k33siTUHA/I/photo_329026.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg"></div><div><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-ewIB8_7v64w/VFphM59crpI/AAAAAAAAFB4/ZmrOlr40ESk/I/photo_648406.jpg" border="0" class="bloggoimg">Swing!</div><br><br> <br><br> <br></div>Gwen and Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05063120494252342235noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6174970264047334750.post-1569767554581364062014-10-30T22:15:00.000-06:002014-10-30T22:25:04.358-06:00happy day!Dave and I enjoyed an evening out with Amy and Brent!
