Lucy is working on her fine motor skills. She is grabbing things, even small
tags, with intent, and then putting them in her mouth. It is amazing to watch her curiosity
and concentration. It cracks me up
that sometimes she likes a toys tag as much as the toy itself.
Lucy has almost rolled from her back to her tummy, but her
arm keeps getting stuck beneath her.
She is swinging her hips and looking over her shoulders often while on
her back. Again, this is amazing
to see, but scary to think that the changing table is no longer safe.
Lucy is full of smiles. She loves her reflection, or the “baby in the mirror”. We joke because that baby follows Lucy
everywhere; to the store, to Phoenix, to the bathroom, and even on her
toys!
Speaking of Phoenix, Dave and I traveled with Lucy to visit
my sister and her family. It was a
wonderful trip. Lucy did amazing
on the flights. She fussed for a
few moments, but I think it was her ears, so I nursed her and she chilled
out. While in Phoenix, we went to
a Rockies Spring Training Game, my sister and I ran a half marathon, relaxed,
played with our nieces, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the Bemis Family!
Lucy is such a rock star at sleeping on the go, getting
dragged where ever, and remaining her cool, calm and collected self…at least
most of the time. She is a trooper
and I am proud of her each day.
I love her so much and I feel so blessed to watch her grow
and learn new things on a daily basis.
Carrie finished her first half-marathon! Way to go!
