Lucy & her Mama

Lucy and I got in a few photos and I couldn't help but post them. I love this little girl and these pictures captured some of our love. The mountains and sunset were beautiful.

Love you Lucy Lu!

Kali's first homecoming

What? What was the title name? Did that say Kali's first homecoming?!? Yes it did! Kali is 14 years old and a freshman in high school. Wow! Wasn't I just in high school? Oh wait, nope it has been 10+ years since high school.

Kali looked beautiful and I was happy I got to see her before her first dance!
I had to get a sweet selfie with the beauty!

Lucy & Avery

Oh these two girls are so cute together! And there little outfits were coordinating in blue and pink...

Lucy loves loves loves Avery. And Avery likes Lucy but would prefer if she backed off a little. Lucy comes on pretty strong with kisses (open mouthed kisses), hugs, touches, squeals, shrieks, and overall a lot of excitement when she sees Avery.

I wonder what these two are thinking and chatting about. ....in the background note Kali and her girlfriends taking pictures before homecoming. See my next post:)

11 months old

Happy last month birthday Lucy! We will count your age in years in less than 4 weeks. Ahhhhh, I can't believe it. Lucy is 11 months old. Wow.

Lucy is a talkative, curious, social, busy, strong willed, bright and active baby. She says lots of words: mama, dada, grampa, beer, bird, airplane, Asher, all done, more, zebra (brah), elephant, otter pop (her stuffed otters name), up, down, hippo and many more. She repeats sounds, actions and mimics everything. She loves open mouth kisses and hugs/squeezes her animals/stuffed animals.

Lucy finally got teeth! Top left was first, followed by bottom right middle then bottom left middle.  Snaggle tooth for sure! Ha!

Lucy roars like a tiger/lion/bear, makes elephants noises and actions,  says/waves hi and bye. She is very social and gets frustrated when people don't acknowledge or talk to her.

Lucy stacked 3(!) wooden blocks. Yes 3 blocks! She is awesome.

Miss Lucy, we couldn't be more thankful for you and the little lady you are becoming. I am proud of your busy mind and desire to always be moving. Thank you for going with the flow, letting us drag you around to many brewery's and bars around denver. You are smarter than we know what to do with. I think you will be trouble but for now, I'm relishing in the fact that you are awesome and love life!

Amazing Zoo Visit!

Have you ever been photo bombed by a giraff? Or fed a carrot to a black rhino? Have you ever seen a grizzly bear swim 6 inches from you? Have you ever seen a lynx family of five up close? What about seeing a sloth 2 feet above your head without any barriers? Or being within 5 feet of real African lions and elephants?!?

Dave, Lucy and I went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and got to experience all of that and more! It was such a fun and successful zoo trip! Lucy even spotted the Mexican grey wolves in an exhibit. Wow! She is a rockstar that loves animals. But she does prefer animals from afar...she was scared of the giraffs getting too close as well as the rhino being a bit larger than in her books.

It was such a wonderful afternoon off together as a family! I love you Dave and Lucy-Lu!

got my hike on...

Got my hike on this week due to Fall quickly approaching. Lucy and I went on three hikes this week. I'm trying to condition her to tolerate the backpack so future trips go okay. I guess I'm conditioning her to the mountains. But she is awesome and I love spending time with her.
